Meghan Smith has served on the PTA board as VP of Membership and President. She is excited to be the President for another two-year term! Meghan and her husband both went to Lakeland High School, so Commerce has been close to their hearts for a long time! Meghan has been involved with Commerce Elementary since her oldest was in Kindergarten. She loves giving her time to the school and helping out wherever she can.
Meghan has four children, Mason (6th grade), Maxwell (4th grade), Emerson who is 7 years old and goes to the Apollo Center in Highland, and Ariana who is 5 years old and in Kindergarten. In her spare time, she loves to do anything outdoors! She finds peace in running and yoga and loves being active. Meghan is a Personal Trainer and also teaches fitness classes in the area.

Jen MacQuarrie VP of Events
One of our co-Vice Presidents of Events is Jennifer MacQuarrie! This is Jennifer's first year on the Commerce PTA board and she is very excited to get more involved. A little over a year ago, Jennifer and her family moved to Commerce from Texas. She is married and has two daughters, Kennedy (4th) and Alexana (1st). They are all super excited to be part of the Commerce family! Jennifer works in the legal department for Oakland County. She enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors, and refinishing furniture. She looks forward to a great year!
Jillian Moutafis VP of Fundraising
Jillian Moutafis, VP of Fundraising, returns to the PTA board this year for her 8th consecutive year. She has two daughters at Commerce, Sophie (3rd grade) and Lexi (5th grade). She also has a 8th grader, Chloe, at Clifford Smart Middle School. Jillian works as a local real estate agent, while devoting a great deal of time to our school community. She is also the President of the PTA at Clifford Smart! She is honored to be a part of the PTA board because of the special students, staff and parents at Commerce Elementary.
Stacey Connell VP of Membership
Pam Rochester Secretary Pam is excited to begin her second year on the PTA board as Secretary. She works as a registered nurse in the operating room at a trauma hospital and as a dance teacher. Pam and her husband have been married for 10 years and have three children. Claire is in 2nd grade, Kate is in 1st grade, and Robert is in preschool. Lindsay Tlumak Historian Lindsay Tlumak is excited to be starting her first year on the board in the new role of Historian. She has been an active member of the PTA since her son, Jackson, started at Commerce Elementary in the Fall of 2019. Lindsay has two kids, Jackson (3rd grade) who attends Commerce and Miles (3 years old) who is a future Cougar.
Becca Golem Vice President
Becca Golem has served on the PTA board since 2021 where she started as the VP of Communication. She has been involved in the PTA since her oldest started kindergarten and is excited to be part of the PTA board.
Becca has 3 kids that attend Commerce; Isley (1st grade), Beckett (3rd grade) and Griffin (5th grade).
Crystal Darling Treasurer
Crystal has served on the board since 2018. She served one year as the VP of events then moved into the treasurer position for a two year term. Crystal loves being the treasurer so much that she agreed to serve another two years! Crystal and her husband Josh have been together for 23 years. They share 4 beautiful children, two boys Brycen (8th) & Grayson (6th) at Clifford Smart and two girls Makenna (5th) and Emery (2nd) at Commerce Elementary. Crystal and her family love to spend their time camping all over our beautiful state, biking and exploring new bike trails and soaking up the sun on many of Michigan’s beautiful beaches. Crystal spends all of her extra time helping her husband run the family Medical Supply store, AMS Medical Supplies located in Waterford. Crystal loves volunteering her time at Commerce Elementary. During her time at Commerce she has chaired many events including The Color run, Staff Appreciation, and Spreading Sunshine to name a few. This year she is most looking forward to co-chairing 5th grade Celebration alongside fellow board member and PTA president Meghan Smith. Crystal is honored to be a part of the Commerce Elementary PTA and is looking forward to making our school even more amazing then it already is!
